Awareness course against children sexual harassment in Sabityeh | Lebanon

The MECC Diakonia Department organized an awareness course against sexual harassment as part of a program launched to fight Gender-based Violence. The three-days course was held at the “Our Lady Dispensary” of MECC in Sabityeh – Lebanon. It targeted Lebanese, Iraqi and Syrian children aged 6 to 12 years old.

The course included awareness-raising classes on sexual harassment and how to discern between good and bad body contacts and touching. Moreover, children were taught how to avoid harassment by escaping harassers and informing people they trust.

At the occasion, the children enjoyed recreational programs, including entertainment games and handicrafts.
