The Christmas star, at the gathering of the MECC General Secretariat’s team

The preparations for Christmas and the Birth of Jesus Christ our Savior in the MECC General Secretariat’s family started in an annual spiritual retreat entitled “The Christmas star”, and took place in Saydet El Bir Monastery, Bkennaya - Jal El Dib, Lebanon.

Members in Beirut attended the gathering in person, while MECC team in Syria’s office and the various offices of the Department for the Service of Palestinian Refugees DSPR in the Holy Land, attended virtually. The participants prayed together, asking the newborn King to prevail peace and stability in all the Middle Eastern countries.

The spiritual agenda was prepared by the Theological and Ecumenical Department, and began with an opening prayer, which was followed by a lecture entitled "The Christmas Star" presented by Mrs. Frida Haddad Abs. In addition, the participants concluded the day with individual prayers and spiritual discussions.
