Honorary Secretary General H.E Bishop Paul Rouhana and Father Dr. Antoine Ahmar at the Middle East Council of Churches
Honorary Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches and Maronite Patriarchal Vicar of Sarba, Lebanon, H.E Bishop Paul Rouhana visited the MECC headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon, with Father Dr. Antoine Ahmar.
MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs and the General Secretariat team welcomed them.
This acquaintance meeting aimed at informing Rouhana and Ahmar about the Council’s latest activities and future projects. In addition to the programs to be implemented and the tasks of the various departments in order to achieve the desired Ecumenical and humanitarian goals.
The meeting also included a discussion that focused on the Christian presence in the Middle East and the most important challenges faced by Christian families amidst the crises and conflicts that are afflicting the region. The attendees tackled also topics such as citizenship and Christian-Muslim dialogue in the East, as well as ways of coexistence with brotherhood and solidarity in order to build a better future full of peace and stability.
