H.E Archbishop Dr. Hosam Naoum and a Delegation from the Episcopal Church of Jerusalem Visiting MECC in Beirut

The Archbishop of the Episcopal Church, Diocese of Jerusalem, His Eminence Dr. Hosam Naoum visited the headquarters of the Middle East Council of Churches in Beirut, today, Thursday, March 24, 2022. His Eminence was heading a delegation included Rev. Archdeacon Imad Zoorob, Rev. Canon Fouad Dagher, Rev. Malcolm Forrest, and Rev. Canon Donald Bilder. Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs and the General Secretariat team welcomed them.

During the meeting, Dr. Abs explained to H.E Archbishop Naoum and the delegation the preparations of the MECC General Secretariat and departments towards the 12th General Assembly that will be held in Egypt between 16 and 20 May 2022 under the title of “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid” (Matthew 14:27).

From his side, H.E Archbishop Naoum praised the MECC role and mission in building bridges and bridging distances between the Church families in the Middle East and the world. Moreover, His Eminence declared that the Episcopal Church of Jerusalem is always ready to help MECC in achieving the desired goals.

At the end, His Eminence offered Dr. Abs a sacred wooden Cross as a souvenir from the Holy Land.
