A Discussion On Anti-Racism and Anti-Segregation at the Invitation of the Middle East Council of Churches

The Middle East Council of Churches organized an online discussion on Anti-Racism and Anti-Segregation, today, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in the presence of the MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs and the participation of Dr. Atef Kobrosi and Dr. Safa Rafka.

The meeting started with an opening note by Dr. Michel Abs, in which he shed light on facing racism and eliminating discrimination in all its types in order to spread the values ​​of peace, love and brotherhood.

In his intervention, Dr. Kobrosi highlighted the Dual perspective on Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Racism in Canada. From his end, Dr. Rafka presented the work of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination committee during 42 years.

Dr. Laure Abi Khalil moderated the meeting, and Dr. Lubna Tarabey delivered summary translations.

This discussion came in the context of the humanitarian mission of the Middle East Council of Churches, especially that the Council seeks through its various programs to consolidate the humanitarian and Christian principles, achieve justice and defend human rights in order to help people live in freedom, peace and equality.
