The Middle East Council of Churches Invites You to Its New Monthly Webinar
“School Dropout and Human Dignity”

The Middle East Council of Churches has the honor to invite you to participate in its monthly webinar, entitled “School Dropout and Human Dignity”, on Thursday 28 September 2023, at 7 pm Beirut Time.

The webinar, which includes four interventions, will start with an opening speech by its moderator Dr. Laure Abi Khalil, which will be followed with a speech by the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches Dr. Michel Abs.
The first intervention is entitled “Problems of School Dropout in Palestine,” with Dr. Rifaat Sabah, General Director of the Teacher Creativity Center, and President of the Global Campaign for Education.
The second intervention revolves around “Challenges of the Internal Environment and their Repercussions on Education in Iraq after 2003,” with Dr. Muhammad Yas Khudair, Head of the Political Science Department at the Alamein Higher Institute for Graduate Studies.
The third intervention is entitled “Education and Human Dignity: A Sociological Approach to the Phenomenon of School Dropout,” with Dr. Howaida Saliby, Professor and Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences at the Lebanese University.
The fourth intervention is entitled “School Dropout in Syria Amidst Wars and Disasters,” with Dr. Raghida Mahmoud, Education Researcher.
This webinar is part of the series of monthly seminars launched by MECC, within the framework of the “Human Dignity Project” - “Dialogue and Social Cohesion-Social Capital Rehabilitation”.
