“Adequate Housing and Human Dignity”

The Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) has the honor to invite you to participate in its monthly webinar, entitled “Adequate Housing and Human Dignity”, on Thursday 25 January 2024 – 7 pm Beirut Time.

The webinar, which includes two interventions, will start with an opening speech by its moderator Dr. Chawki Attieh, which will be followed with a speech by the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches Dr. Michel Abs.
The first intervention is entitled “Housing Policy in Lebanon: The Deficiencies of Procedures and Measures in Confronting Housing Vulnerability,” with Dr. Charbel Lichaa, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Social Sciences - Lebanese University.
The second intervention revolves around “Egypt’s Experience Towards Providing an Alternative to Slums,” with Prof. Dr. Iman Nasri Daoud, Professor and Head of the Sociology Department at the Arts Faculty - Helwan University in Egypt, and Deputy Population Division.
This webinar which ends with a conclusion and discussion, is part of the series of monthly seminars launched by MECC, within the framework of the “Human Dignity Project” - “Dialogue and Social Cohesion-Social Capital Rehabilitation”, that MECC is working to implement consecutively.
