Team Building and Communication in A New Workshop for the MECC Team 

The Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) organized a new workshop for its team about team building and communication, on Tuesday 11 June 2024, in the Wata Al Joz region - Lebanon, aiming at empowering its employees and developing their skills at various administrative, professional, cultural and intellectual levels. 

The training was attended by the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches Dr. Michel Abs, with the participation of the MECC Associate Secretary General for the Evangelical Family Reverend Rifaat Fikry, the MECC Associate Secretary General for the Catholic Family, the Director of Jordan’s office Father Ignatius Khalifeh, the Director of Syria’s Office Mr. Ghassan Chahine, and the MECC team. 

It was inaugurated by the Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs who spoke at length about organizations, organizational culture, professional and personal work relationships, and building the spirit of the group or the backbone of the team. As well as, he mentioned that every institution needs a maintenance for its human capabilities and relations as a proactive and preventive element to avoid any administrative or communication deterioration. He also stressed the importance of dialogue, joint thinking, and interaction, especially since every person has a role in the institution to which he belongs. 

The workshop was moderated by Mr. Marwan Esta and Ms. Nelly El Khazen from Firm HR Excellence company. 

The trainees participated in various educational sessions focused on constructive communication and its skills, foundations of cooperation and building trust, as well as the factors that lead to the breakdown of this communication and ways to strengthen it. This is in addition to various practical games that contributed to consolidating the acquired information.
