Our Christianity and the Lord Jesus Christ
Our Christianity is not merely a theoretical, formal, intellectual, philosophical faith.
It is not to say: I believe in a certain Power, Might, of Divine Character, up there in the heavens,
while we are living here on earth.
Sometimes they even scare us with it.
Sometimes while we raise our little children, we scare them with God.
God is something to terrify us with: “if you do this or that God will strike you, or punish you, etc.”
This is very wrong.
God is the Creator, the Judge, no doubt
He is the Almighty, the Most Powerful.
But He is also the Beloved, the Savior, who sent his Beloved Son for our salvation
Jesus Christ.
Therefore, “living is God” before whom we stand
This God is the God who wants to bestow upon us his Light and divine blessings,
making us his children.
God will not grant us what He possesses: blessings and good things and so on.
God will give himself, his light, his glory.
This is very important.
God so much loved humankind that he fashioned humans with his own hands,
creating them in his image and likeness.
Now when this humankind sinned, He did not neglect it and promised a Savior.
He realized this promise by sending his only Son, Jesus Christ, who was incarnate from the Virgin Mary, taking a body in our likeness and being God at the same time.
Hence, He accomplished the work of redemption and accepted to be raised on the Cross.
There, He trampled death and was risen from the dead.
He sent the Holy Spirit and established the Church.
All this because He loved us, he loved every human being and wants to redeem every human being.
Our Father who art in heaven…
He taught us to say it: Our Father who art in heaven…
We are his children, Beloved ones, we are not servants.
We do not believe in that God who is this scary, terrible Judge who wants to condemn us, kill us, and take us to hell.
We are people who believe in this loving God who made us his children.
Of course, every person has to fulfill the meaning of their sonship.
Otherwise, if they do not fulfill the meaning of their sonship it means that they neglected themselves and stepped outside.
They are the ones to step out.
