At the the Opening of the Easter Reception of the UAECNE, Reverend Dr. Paul Haidostian Expresses Solidarity with the Suffering Church and All Humans
Through the media, the Reverend Dr. Paul Haidostian, Acting President of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East (UAECNE), President of Haigazian University in Lebanon, and President of the Middle East Council of Churches for the Evangelical Family, addressed the faithful community with a message entitled “Recovering Our Spirit". Based on Matthew 28:5, he invited all, as we celebrate the victory of our Lord over death, to joyfully and faithfully recover our exalted Christian spirit, be filled with expectancy before the Risen Lord, and to serve Him and all people fervently and with humility.
During the opening of the Easter reception of the UAECNE at the First Armenian Evangelical Church in Beirut, attended by church representatives, officials and leaders and pastors of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East, Rev. Haidostian addressed those present with a heartfelt reflection on the importance of expressing the hope of Christ’s resurrection amidst the trampling of humanity in the Middle East, especially in Gaza. He called upon the church to express solidarity with the suffering church and all humans throughout the world, particularly at Easter. Furthermore, Rev. Haidostian reminded those present about the current struggles of Lebanon, and the tragedy regarding the Armenian people of Artsakh and their usurped lands and basic rights. “On Easter Day today, our prayers are joined with the supplications of those in anguish, trusting that the Resurrection of the Lord will awaken us and heal our world”, he concluded.
