The Calling to the Priesthood Ceremony of Deacons G. Yosoulkanian and H. Joulfayan

With the blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, the Cilician brotherhood welcomes Deacons Garen Yosoulkanian and Hagop Joulfayan into its congregation.

The calling to the priesthood ceremony took place at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral on the evening of March 1, 2025, conducted by His Eminence Archbishop Magar Ashkarian, Prelate of Aleppo, with V. Rev. Fr. Shnorhk Ashekian as the sponsoring priest.

During this solemn occasion, the deacons were guided to the altar by the sponosing priest, where they publicly professed their faith by rejecting heresies, reaffirmed their commitment to Orthodox teachings, recited the Creed, and read the Charter of the Holy See of Cilicia.
