After several defeats following the August 4 Blast

 MASS Depression

Beirut Blast.png

Months after the explosion, all forms of investigation seem to be restarting from square one, to say the least. Beleaguered with an unstoppable pandemic, a broken economy, and a corrupt political system, Lebanese haven’t ever been so depressed in history. It seems now that people, apart from the relatives of the victims and those directly affected by the blast, are generally no longer invested in finding the truth. All that the average Lebanese actually cares about these days is the rising value of the dollar with respect to the local currency, putting food on the table, and staying away from corona. As such, mankind in Lebanon is being stripped from all his desires and aspirations to render him, void, incapable, and basic; now his only primitive desire is just to survive.

The joyous and vibrant nature of Lebanese, is being trampled by the hooves of one crisis after the other. Even the most indomitable will eventually succumb to the mounting pressures.

Demonstrations on the street have withered in numbers.

Everyone is paralyzed, depressed, and defeated.
