His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, received the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) Professor Michel Abs, and an MECC delegation, at the Papal Residence in Cairo.
The delegation included the MECC Honorary Secretary General Dr. Gergis Saleh, the MECC Associate Secretary General Reverend Dr. Refaat Fikry, the Media Officer and the Coordinator of the Church and Media Relations at MECC Lea Adel Maamary.
The meeting was attended by the Monk Father Emmanuel Al-Mahraki, the Director of the Office of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Deacon Joseph Reda, Deacon of His Holiness the Pope, and Engineer Ramy Rizk from the Secretariat of His Holiness the Pope.
During the meeting, the dialogue revolved around the Council’s activities during the past period and future aspirations amidst the current challenges.
The Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) Professor Michel Abs offered to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II the slogan of the “MECC Fiftieth Year”.
In his turn, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II offered gifts of appreciation to the Secretary General and the Council delegation.
