The Holy Land is currently facing turbulent waves of developments in the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, most recently due to a decision in the case of “Bab al-Khalil” (Jaffa Gate), which went beyond the limits of justice. His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III held a press conference in which he categorically rejected the unfair ruling handed down by the Israeli Central Court in the case of “Bab al-Khalil”, pointing out that this decision in favor of the Ateret Cohanim settlement group can only be explained in the political interest

Patriarch Theophilos called for an urgent meeting of the heads of the Holy Land Churches to coordinate a firm rejection and response to these dangerous and frightening developments.
