His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II opened the Plenary Session titled “What We’re Facing”, at the International Religious Freedom Summit held in Washington D.C. with a Prayer

On February 4, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, opened the Plenary Session titled “What We’re Facing”, at the International Religious Freedom Summit held in Washington D.C. with a prayer. He then delivered the keynote speech where he spoke about the various challenges facing religious freedom throughout the world.

His Eminence Archbishop Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar of the Archdiocese of the Eastern USA, accompanied His Holiness at the Summit.
